With extensive expertise in case management, utilization management (UM), Medicare, Medicaid, durable medical equipment (DME), and transitions of care, she plays a pivotal role in ensuring seniors receive holistic, compassionate, and secure care at every stage of their healthcare journey.
Barbara is a registered nurse with hands-on experience in cardiac telemetry and emergency medicine, giving her a deep understanding of the medical complexities and safety concerns affecting older adults. Her unique perspective fuels her passion for creating healthcare environments where seniors thrive with confidence and dignity.
Throughout her career, Barbara has led transformative initiatives that prioritize both safety and quality of care. She spearheaded the Post-Acute Council and Hospital Transportation Program, ensuring high-risk seniors have safe and reliable access to medical appointments. Additionally, she developed the Post-Hospital Discharge Clinic (PHDC)—a critical support system designed to mitigate hospital readmissions, conduct essential safety checks, and provide tailored recovery care.
